"Flip-flop cruisers blow your mind/Trip-hop sutures they rewind/It's alright, it's alright/We love to dream/In black and white...-Beautiful Machines, PupilYee-hah! After, like, 50 decades, I can now finally connect to the 'Net. So without further ado, I'm going to list down the things that happened to me which should be chronicled here weeks ago but sadly, our PC won't cooperate.
April 29It was so hot I swear it's gonna kill me. I had to "get away". So me, my mom, L.A., Nicole and Arie went to the mall to watch a movie. Mom, L.A. and Nicole watched
Ice Age 2 while me and Arie went to see
Silent Hill(with matching werewolf howl). And...surprise, surprise....I was able to sleep that night and the following nights without those disturbing images of people being "barbed wir-ed" to death haunting me. That day, I also bought (and started reading)
The Birth of Venus.
May 2Finished
The Birth of Venus. That night, I wrote a review about it. Or I called it a review 'cause that's what I like to call it.
May 6It's my nephew Josh's christening!!! Josh is the cutest of 'em all! Look:
mukhang Chinese...cute!
May 10Flew to Hong Kong. Our first day there...we went shopping...mostly for toys in the world-famous TOYS 'R'US.
May 11Went to Disneyland. I had sooooo much fun, even though the only thrilling ride(i.e., roller coasters with drops designed to make people's intestines fall out) there is the Space Mountain. What I enjoyed the most is shopping and the fireworks. I am also disappointed 'cause the girl that they hired to be Mulan isn't pretty enough or Chinese-looking enough. But Princess Aurora looked like a real-life Barbie doll. She is so beautiful she doesn't seem to be human anymore. HAHA.
Oh, look, pics!
since no one can pull the excalibur out, let's just pose with it!
You saved our lives, we are eternally grateful...whoa whattahair dude! ang hangin kasi eh...
May 12Then it's off to Ocean Park. Now this is where the thrilling rides are found. There's this thing called Space Wheel and this roller coaster with super
lupet drops, I think it's called Mine Train or something. And another rollercoaster called The Dragon with three loops and finally, this ride called The Abyss where you're made to sit on a chair with your feet dangling and then you'll be suspended about 60 feet high and then it will just drop. I told myself I'm absolutely not gonna ride that thing when I first saw it. But in the end, I was forced to ride it with my cousin, Kuya Alex. He convinced me that it would be nothing to me since I'm not afraid of the Anchors Away. And when The Abyss dropped he was right, I felt nothing. It was fun. When we rode that loopy coaster, it was also nothing compared to that first coaster we rode, that Mine thing. I just love roller coasters!
overjoyed kmi
in one of those loooong escalators in Ocean Park...i did the peace sign 'cause i noticed that the chinese always do it in pictures, well, feeling chinese...
laki ng tiyan ko ampota
May 13Time to go home.....sadly. Our flight back home was scheduled at 8 PM so we did some shopping first. I bought this cute Chinese doll which I named Xiao Long Nu(si DA DA dun sa
Love of the Condor Heroes hehe).
Then on the airport I bought Sophie Kinsella's
Undomestic Godess from this bookstore called Replay. I immediately started reading it and by the next day, tapos na! The character wasn't that quirky and fun unlike Beck Bloomwood but the story is interesting. Favorite ko na si Sophie Kinsella...
May 19Watched
Over The Hedge with L.A. and Nicole. Mom and Dad watched
The Da Vinci Code, R-18 kasi eh...but it's OK...
May 24Went to this get-together with my other batch mates. Went home at 5 AM reeking of Gran Ma. Drunkard! Hehe...minsan lang naman...and besides, I feel like walang time ngayong school year na 'to para sa mga inuman at kalokohan. Or kung may time man, my 'rents won't allow me to go 'cause I've got those entrance exams and whatnot.
May 25Dad's birthday!
May 26We watched
The Last Stand. Angel was so cute but he's Ben Foster, and Jon Foster's his bro, and Jon's my hubby, so Ben is my brother-in-law, so he's off-limits.
haha.
Peeling na naman oh!
---So...I guess I missed blogging a LOT this summer because of this darn PC...
And the first day of school is drawing near. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm actually
dreading it. Who knows what kind of people my classmates are gonna be this year. And what if I'll be separated from Des and the gang again? God, I hate school. And my review class starts on Saturday. I'm not looking forward to that either. In fact, I'm not looking forward to anything school-related.
---Pahabolz...I'm gonna put our Hong Kong pics in my Multiply some time in the future na lang...leche kasi tong PC na 'to eh...HMPH!
